Local Builder’s Swimming Success
Shropshire construction firm SR Roberts Construction Ltd have successfully completed a £250,000 revamp of the town centre’s Quarry swimming and Fitness Centre.
The town’s Leisure Facility was given a complete overhaul with new spectator gallery seating, refurbished foyer area with new automatic doors and other improvements including refurbishment to the main Quarry pools three diving boards.
The project, which lasted 12 weeks, was completed on time and on budget.

Alan Wallin - Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council's Leisure and Community Development Manager said:
"The new refurbishment has been a huge success on the grounds of visual aesthetics, environmental and health and safety improvements. The work that has been completed will safeguard the centre's existence for at least a further five years in turn allowing considered decisions to be made regarding the long term future of swimming in Shrewsbury".
