Charity Spin-a-thon raises over £3000

Staff from SJ Roberts Construction and Lowfield Timber Frames joined forces on 1st May to complete an impressive 12-hour cycling challenge in support of Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.

Using two spin bikes over the course of the day, team members cycled a combined total of 444.58 miles, demonstrating outstanding teamwork, determination and commitment to raising funds for a vital local cause.

The event successfully raised £1,584.37, which has been match funded to bring the total donation to £3,168.74 for the charity.

The challenge saw staff members taking turns throughout the 12 hours, with colleagues across both businesses showing fantastic support and encouragement including two members of the Lingen Davies team taking a turn on the bikes. Funds raised will help the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund continue its important work supporting cancer services and patients across the region.

A spokesperson for SJ Roberts Construction said:

“We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part in this challenge and grateful to all those who donated and supported us throughout the day. Reaching over 444 miles across the two bikes was a brilliant achievement, but knowing the money raised will help support people affected by cancer makes it even more worthwhile.”

The fundraising event reflects the ongoing commitment of SJ Roberts Construction and Lowfield Timber Frames to supporting local charities and community initiatives.
