SJ Roberts Construction secures further Powys County Council contracts to deliver new social housing developments

SJ Roberts Construction has secured two further contracts with Powys County Council to deliver new social housing developments in Welshpool and Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, with a combined value of £7m.

Together, the schemes will see the delivery of 34 highly insulated, energy-efficient homes, supporting the council’s ongoing programme to increase the supply of high-quality, affordable housing across the county.

In Welshpool, the development will comprise 16 bungalows on the site of the former Gungrog Church within Wales Nursery and Infant School, while in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, 18 homes will be built on land to the west of Maes yr Esgob. These homes will include a mix of houses, bungalows and flats designed to meet a range of local housing needs.

Works are expected to commence in the Summer with completion due by the end of 2027.
